The VeraGen App Store

The VeraGen App Store is where apps made with Chimp can be found and used by people outside your business. The store is not open yet. When it opens, it opens by invitation, for free apps first.

What a listing is

Each app in the store has one listing: its name, a short tagline, a description, the needs it meets (in plain words, such as "plan meals for my family"), a category, an age rating and up to 5 screenshots from its QA run. The listing always shows the version a reviewer approved.

CategoryOne of Productivity, Business, Education, Health & fitness, Finance, Lifestyle, Food & drink, Travel, Entertainment, Games, Utilities, Creativity, Family or Community.
Age rating18+ or General. General is only for apps where people cannot upload anything and that use no AI.
ScreenshotsTaken by QA from the version you list, so buyers see what was tested.

How an app gets into the store

  1. Your app is live, released through Chimp's Release step.
  2. An owner or admin of your account fills in the listing and submits it for review.
  3. A person at VeraGen reviews it, with the app's QA results and safety checks beside it.
  4. You get the decision with a statement of the reason: approved, changes requested or rejected.

An approved listing goes into the store. A new release or a change to the words and screenshots of a listed app is reviewed again before buyers see it; until then, the store keeps showing the version that was approved. A listing can have one submission waiting for review at a time; you can withdraw it.

When a listing leaves the store

A listing is not shown when its app is taken offline or taken down, when the account is suspended, or when VeraGen suspends or removes the listing, which always comes with a statement of the reason.
