Automations for your apps in the App Store
Tellagent can start an automation when something happens to one of your apps in the App Store: someone gets it, a buyer pays or is refunded, a review appears, a free trial is about to end or a licence ends. App Store triggers open with the store, which is not open yet.
In Tellagent → Automations, open the trigger and choose from App Store:
| Getting and buying | Someone got your app (a free app), App sold (a one-off price or a subscription payment; test payments say so in {{trigger.sale.test}}), Sale refunded. |
|---|---|
| Reviews | Review posted, with the stars, title and text. |
| Trials and licences | Trial ending (3 days before a free trial ends, once per trial), Licence ended (refunded, cancelled or removed by VeraGen). |
Each trigger starts automations in the project the app belongs to, once for each event. It lists what it brings, such as {{trigger.app.name}} or {{trigger.review.stars}}, with an example.
Who the contact is
Buyers' details stay private unless they choose otherwise. A sale, refund, trial ending or licence ended brings the buyer as the contact only when the buyer chose to share their details with you, is 18 or over and is already a contact in your Thrive. Then {{trigger.buyer.name}} and {{trigger.buyer.email}} are filled in. Otherwise the automation runs without a contact: steps that email or text the contact are skipped, and Notify my team still works. VeraGen never adds a buyer to your Thrive for you.
Someone got your app and Review posted never say who. Reviews in the store are anonymous, so use them to tell your team.
